Pilot Ratings
Private Pilot License
Earning a Private Pilot Certificate is the first step in becoming a career pilot.
This certificate will allow you to carry passengers and use the airplane for pleasure and travel.
PPL
Instrument rating
An instrument rating allows you to fly in a wider range of weather conditions by relying on the aircraft’s instruments rather than outside visual references. This rating significantly increases safety, precision, and dispatch reliability
IR
The commercial certificate allows you to be compensated for flying. This rating is required for professional flying roles such as charter, banner towing, aerial survey, and other commercial operations.
CPL
Commercial Pilot license
A Certified Flight Instructor is authorized to teach and train new pilots. Many professional pilots earn instructor ratings to build experience while passing on knowledge to the next generation of aviators.
